5. Training Institution Plan

This Plan is intended for large academic or practice sites which plan to implement a Centering program within the next year and which will have considerable on-going training needs.

During the first year, an initial training (or multiple trainings) will follow the Comprehensive Host Site Plan. It provides:
       • training and workshop materials (each workshop accommodates
          up to 30 people),
       • a Handbook,
       • Facilitator's Guides for each group facilitator,
       • a year's Institutional Membership to CHI,
       • unlimited phone/email consultation,
       • a 10% discount on Notebooks for patients, and
       • Site Approval including a site visit, usually in the next calendar
          year.

Host sites are responsible to provide appropriate space for the workshop to be held, food for the participants and leaders, and some equipment, as outlined in the Organizing Guide.

After becoming an Approved Centering site, these sites may purchase an Enhanced Membership which allows internal trainings to be conducted by a CHI certified trainer. The intended trainer must attend at least one basic and one advanced workshop and be interviewed by CHI before becoming a certified trainer. The materials for the internal trainings, provided by CHI, are included in the Enhanced Membership cost.
