About the Founder Sharon Schindler Rising, MSN, CNM, FACNM, a Yale University School of Nursing graduate and former faculty member, has been active in providing prenatal care in private and public settings. The Centering Pregnancy Program is an extension of a model she developed at the University of Minnesota. Sharon is Executive Director of the Centering Pregnancy and Parenting Association. She leads workshops and seminars and is sought after nationally for consultation in prenatal care delivery.

Sharon lives with her husband, Ron, who is an ordained minister / counselor and photographer (and web master). They have two grown children: Josh, who just finished his pediatric residency at UCSF, and Kristin, who is a student at UCSF.med school.
